Emerging Transformation

“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image”

2 Corinthians 3:18a (NIV).

The waves of others’ questions, directions, and undesired opinions,

Crash into my eardrums, drowning out my own thoughts.

I feel my words sinking and interests slipping away.

How do I hear You, while listening with submerged ears?

Then I hear a whisper…

“Invite conversations as the shore welcomes the waves

Letting the dialogues wash new views over you;

And just as you can never step into the same body of water twice,

Know that with every exchange, you emerge transformed for the better.”
