Seeing Clearly

“Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.”

Mark 8:25 (NIV).

It feels like my vision is becoming more and more impaired;

Surrounded in a thick fog of distractions,

I stagger and stumble between confusion and consciousness.

Even when I want to sprint towards You, I fall flat on my face.

How can I follow You, when I can’t even see where I’m going?

Then I hear a whisper…

“Close your eyes and feel the fog all around you.

It grows heavier from the coldness of your interfering thoughts,

Stop lowering yourself to its weight and feel the warmth of My touch

Now, open your eyes and clearly see the world I have created for you.”
