Armored Openness

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”

Ephesians 6:11 (NIV).

I always cover up when faced with the naked truth.

So, I learned to wear my heart on my sleeve;

Only to discover that it could not protect my vulnerability.

How can I bare my soul without feeling like an open target?

Then I hear a whisper…

“Stand firm and suit up your vulnerability in Me.

Wrap My truth around you and know you’re protected in righteousness;

Fit your feet with the readiness of peace; and crown your mind with salvation.

Stop attacks with your faith as you skillfully wield My word.

Now armored, be bold in your openness against any opposition.”
