Resting in Hope

“Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from Him.”

Psalm 62:5 (NIV).

Some nights, sleep goes by in the blink of an eye;

And even then, it feels too long of a break.

I struggle to stay wide-eyed on my productivity.

When did I allow my insomnia to equate to my success?

Then I hear a whisper…

“Smell the aroma of your efforts, like freshly baked bread.

Stop the kneading process in your works,

Because the best bread in life, must be left to rest.

Rest in Me, and I’ll expand your hopes beyond your capacity;

So, you can enjoy the deliciousness of your success.”
