Childlike Curiosity

Childlike Curiosity.jpg

“Truly I tell you unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 18:3 (NIV).

At times I wonder when I will ever “Grow up and act my age,”

As my adult responsibilities chastise my childish imagination.

Even when I know to cling to the so-called security of maturity,

I keep reaching out for the thrill-seeking vines of the unexplored.

How do I take a long enough time-out to take my life more seriously?

Then I hear a whisper…

“Exhale and embrace your childlike curiosity,

Filled with infinite energy, exploratory wisdom and complete faith.

Stop scolding yourself away from these characteristics,

Because it is in your childish state that you will be closest to Me”
